Here is a tiny 19th Century book titled "Heaven. A Good little Book For Good Little Children. It was printed and sold by Mahlon Day at the New -Juvenile Book-store at No. 374 Pearl Street in NYC between 1841 & 1844 It is a "reward of merit" gift book. The little book is printed on yellow paper . It has a lithograph of a young schoolmaster with 3 young boy students on the front. The same design is on the 1st page. There are only 8 pages and the pages are numbered 4-8. The inside covers are blank. The back cover has a list of 22 "Beautiful Books for Presents". The listed titles all have religious , moral or academic flavor & include "Polite Present", "Young Ladies Book of Piety" "Geographical Annual". The book is 3" tall x 2" across. This hard to find little book has some toning and a few bends. There are no tears or loss. A great book for collectors of early Americana or child hood items. It is a
great size to use with an early doll .
