Here is a pretty shy faced 19" Tete Jumeau with fully jointed body, voice box & Mama/Papa strings that work. The doll has fine pale poured bisque, soft painting, beautiful rose painted mouth, gorgeous blue paperweight eyes, nicely painted brows and lots of painted lashes on the upper& lower lids. She has pierced ears and retains her original neck coil. She is marked on the back of her head in red "Depose//Tete Jumeau//Bte. S.G.D.G//8(HIII red artist marks). There is a factory flaw V on the inside rim of her head as shown. Her head is free of hairlines or other damage. She has her original cork pate and beautiful antique hand knotted blond mohair wig. Her Jumeau body has the original finish, jointed wrists and intact fingers. It was factory fitted with a voice box and has Mama/Papa strings that still work ( faint but distinct). It is not marked. The finish has some surface cracks as shown. She wears what appears to be original lace trimmed pantaloons, petticoat and winter slip with pink & white wool flannel skirt and linen bodice. Her dress is old and of the palest pink window checked fine linen with lace trim at the neck and down the front.It opens down the back on the right side and has snap closures. She has antique fancy black open work stockings and black marked C.M.shoes with pierced silver metal ornaments on the toes. . She is a very Lovely Jumeau doll circa 1886-1890.
