Here is a striking 19" Jumeau incised.E.8.D with black artist tick marks on the back of her head. This doll has rosy bisque, dark brown glass eyes and deep rose painted mouth. Her bisque is nice with uniform painting and no chips, rubs or hairlines., She still retains her neck coil, original cork pate and original signed "8 // Paris // Marque // Depose" white leather shoes. They are missing the toe ornaments but are attractive and sturdy. Her pink cotton sateen dress looks original to me. it has a tear in the back but is otherwise in good condition. Her slip is linen and old. It fits her well. Her pink cotton sateen pantaloons are factory and may be hers. She has an antique wig. It is not original to her. She was found with a modern mohair wig which will come with her. It is quite a pretty light strawberry color. Her fully jointed french/Jumeau type body is not marked. It has original finish and is in all over good condition with slight wear at the neck and joints as shown. This doll has presence and shows well. Doll incised E.D. with a size number between the letters.were produced by Emile Douillet from 1892 to 1899 while he was director of Jumeau et Cie. The dolls are Tete Jumeau models.
