This 17" Simon Halbig 1260 shoulder head girl has a pert face, fine pale bisque, nice painting with multi stroke dark brown brows, black upper & lower lashes, coral open mouth with darker lip outlining, coral eye & nose dots and soft cheek blush. Her dark brown sleep eyes look wonderful with her pale coloring. She has a chin dimple, pierced ears and inserted upper teeth. There are some paint misses at the top of her crown. She is incised on the back of her head " S & H 1260 //DEP //Germany // 6 Imperial". Her bisque and plate are free of rubs, chips or hairlines. She still retains her pale blond mohair wig with the original pate. She is on a lovely kid body with rivets at the hips. I see no leaks , weak areas or damage to her body. Her lower arms are bisque and of a good quality. They are intact without chips. She wears a darling pink and white stripe antique linen dress with white yoke. it opens down the back and fastens with little shell buttons and button holes at the neck and waist. Her pantaloons are linen with side opening and ribbon ties. They have age, but are not period. She has cute pink oil cloth shoes with ties and heels and vintage mesh stockings. These dolls were registered by Simon Halbig in 1898. She is a charming example of this model and in a desirable smaller size.
