Here is an early 19th Century Pennsylvania chip carved out of round chip carved butter stamp. The stamp is 3.75" top to bottom and 3.5" side to side. Stamp is about 1" thick. It has a chip carved grazing cow on the face with a daisy and leaves over the cow3. Edge has chip carved design. Stamp was carved in one piece without a handle. Cow has carved dappled all over pattern. Back is plain and smooth with no pattern. Edge carving has wear. A hard to find form in good condition.
