What a beauty! This is a 26 inch blue eyed Tete Jumeau in a size 12. She has the smoothness and perfection in her bisque found on the skin of a newborn baby. Her paperweight blue eyes seem to be making a statement of why you should take her home with you. I am not sure I have seen more perfectly aligned brows and thick but thinly stroked lashes. The top lip is shaded just a shade darker on the arches. Although they are closed lips, there seems to be a tongue there. Her cheeks are shaded just to the right degree like the earlier Portraits. Her vintage dress (labeled "made in France") was created from a mushroom colored silk. The skirt is lovely with the wide pleats. I love the light greenish contrast in the sleeve bands and the horizontal pleated below-the-wait band. The V-shaped lace front of the bodice is lined in the contrasting color silk. She has vintage handmade brown leather tie shoes with decorative bows and gold buckles. The wig is antique human hair styled in long curls. Wow, does she ever have a gorgeous hat! It is wired around the edges and covered in ecru decorative laces, silk ribbon bows and cloth flowers. The greenish lining matches the contrasting color on the dress. The labeled Jumeau body is clearly shown in the two photos and I found no fault with it to report other than it may have a light wash to hide the wear and tear, but it matches the color so well that it is hard to say for sure.
