For your consideration is this 12 inch porcelain bust of a young man with intaglio eyes and an open/closed smiling mouth with molded top teeth. He is on a very ornate base with hand-painted flowers and gold painted accents. The modeling is extraordinary with blond hair falling in pixie-like strands around his face and curls around the nape of his neck. The bisque is creamy and pure with only a couple of tiny black specks on his neck that are not easily found. He has blushed cheeks and chin, blushing above and below his eyes and feathered blond brows. The eyelids are molded with a very light darkening at the crease to give even more depth. His shirt is decorated with tiny beading inside star-shaped yellow designs. The ruffled collar has beading around the edge and a blue bow at the front. His coral colored lips are perfectly formed and seem to be smiling. It is always nice to have a happy face in the cabinet with your bisque figurine collection, as most of them seem to have solemn expressions. There is an artist's tic, the number "23" in ink and something impressed on the bottom of the base, as well as a maker's mark.
