This piece will absolutely steal the show! It is a very high quality porcelain piece in the form of a lidded container with a baby seated in a barrel of "something" that appears to be swirling around in the barrel. There is frothy textured application around the edges of the contents and around the hole where his feet protrude from the barrel. The baby's head serves as the knob to lift off the lid and the container is glazed inside. This piece is as cute as a button! I have found no markings except a "4" on the inside of the lid and on the bottom of the barrel. The quality and modeling is divine and can be compared to that of Gebruder Heubach. I have searched for and found no damage to the piece. It is 7-1/2 inches tall and 16-1/8 inches in circumference at the widest part of the barrel (not including the feet that protrude from the barrel).
