A fine and rare tole monteith decorated in an overall geometric design with pearl banding and floral garlands on a red ground. Measures 10 1/8" long x 7" wide x 4 1/2" deep. Good overall condition - paint loss consistent with age - presentation is attractive. These are used as planters today. Originally they were used to rinse wine glasses between courses or as an ice pail.
