A fine and rare 18th c. English pearlware plate decorated with a landscape scene showing trees, a cottage and birds in the sky with a geometric border in shades of green, blue, orange, yellow and brown. An exceptional example. Good overall condition - has an old rim flake at 7 o'clock. Provenance - John Bihler Henry Coger Antiques - prominent dealers in Americana in the mid 20th century. Measures a hair over 8" in diameter.
