A fine and early 19th century Chinese porcelain vase as a lamp. Exceptional celadon glaze technique with incised geometric decoration at the throat and four reserve panels with courtly scenes in the famille rose palette. An extremely high quality object and very delicate composition. Excellent overall condition - the carved hardwood mounts are chipped, though this does not detract and the lamp has been newly rewired. Measures 11.5" to top of vase and 21" high overall.
