A fine 19th c. Vienna bronze candelabra now electrified as a lamp (easily reversed if you prefer). In the form of a ostrich standing on a naturalistically cast circular plinth and holding foliate branches in its mouth. Exceptional detail throughout including feathers, feet/talons and vegetation on the ground. Measures 12 3/4" high to top of bronze candle socket. Excellent condition and patina. The paper candle covers are frayed at the top and could be replaced - these are available at all hardware stores - though the old ones have a nice look. Lamp shades not included.
