1940s Wood & Red Resin Flower Brooch Pin
This vintage brooch likely dates to the 1940s when carved wood was a popular material for jewelry making. The red poinsettia attached to the top of the wood looks like Bakelite at first glance, but it appears to be a dyed or painted resin instead. A little of the finish has rubbed off on the edges of the flowers giving it a nice vintage look. The wood is a rich, dark color and in excellent condition. Measures about 3" wide.
