Purses are must-have accessories for any Lady, even one who stands 18 inches tall. This is a fine antique miniature leather studded one, and is quite appropriate for poupees from France's Golden Era for dolls (1860 - 1900). It is made of leather with steel studs on the front and flap, a leather handle, steel clasp and accordion-fold sides. It is well-broken in, and shows some roughness to the handle in particular, but is still quite presentable.

The purse itself is 2 1/2" (6.3 cm) wide and 2" high (5 cm). The handle adds 3 3/4" to the length (9.5 cm). My final photo shows Mlle. Lily, who stands 18" (46 cm) tall, with the purse over her arm so that you can see the scale of the purse, It is well-sized for dolls in the classic 17 - 18" (43 - 46 cm) tall.
