This incredibly elegant pair of miniature enamel vases are ever so scarce, and would certainly cost several thousand dollars... if they were perfect! I am sad to say that these beauties have suffered some damage to their enamel over the years, which is why I can offer them at such a reasonable price. Please study my photos as they show that the enamel loss is concentrated on the lower sections of each vase, and if they are turned just so, the damage is well hidden on the back side of each vase, making them quite presentable. Each has a gilt bronze base and top rim - all with a nice patina - though one base and rim is loose. Perhaps this can be fixed, but I have found that just setting the vase where it should rest in the base solves the problem visually for display purposes.
Mlle. Lily - 18" (46 cm) tall - finds these vases to be tres chic, and believes that they would make quite a statement in a symmetrical display on a sideboard, mantle or dresser in her Salon! Or, perhaps on the piano on the Salon de Musique?
The vases each measure 4 1/2" tall x 2 1/2" wide (11.2 x 6.2 cm). They are brilliant glass enamel over copper with gilded bronze mounts.
