Mahogany Federal Sheraton table with two convex drawers, drop sides and reeded legs.
This is not a period table which means it was not made in the Federal Sheraton period of 1800-1830. It is of a later construction.
I place this with confidence around 1880 to 1900. However, it is faithfully made and is as it should be. Note the beauty of the matched flame grain mahogany veneers on the faces.
There is some slight fading on the top as you can see, the drop sides are darker than the top. This is of course due to sunlight as the
drop sides were rarely in the up position.
