Mahogany and mahogany veneer late empire sideboard from 1890. Wonderfully matched flame grain, arched panel doors and smooth columns topped by a restrained Corinthian cap. Supported by carved hairy paw feet.
This sideboard is longer than most at 78 inches. Height to the top surface is 41 inches with the back splash with the chimney pilasters adding 9 inches to the height. A classic and well made example of the later Empire offerings.
This piece is in estate condition. Pictures show wear to the finish/coating on the top. More pictures can be supplied.
