1820/40 two piece corner cupboard in tulip poplar wood with original hand painted grained surfaces. Built by an early craftsman and is from Pennsylvania or northern Virginia. This is an authentic piece, not one of the thousands of reproductions made from old wood on the market.

Two tall doors over a center drawer over two doors. This piece has not been altered and is in original condition. Bought in northern Virginia by the previous owner over 40 years ago. This cupboard reminds me of those we used to see in The Duncansville and Somerset areas of Pennsylvania back in the early 1970s. It is unaltered and is as it should be, no alterations, no fakery!

There is no damage to the exterior other than an age shrinkage line in the upper right side door. The interior is clean and shows no damage or abuse. The only fix is a piece of wood broken out on the inside of the bottom right door. There is no bad or damaged wood anywhere, no rot or soft worm eaten wood and no odors. This was bought in Washington DC and had been owned by the same family for 40+ years. Clean!

It is a good one and stands 7.5 feet tall and 3.5 feet across the flat part of the front. The returns are 3.75 inches back to the wall. Inside depth is 21 inches.

You see it as we bought it. We have not cleaned, waxed, or put the knobs back on this yet.
