We have a fine walnut Lincoln high back bed in the Victorian Rococo style. This came from the home in which it has resided for many decades in southern Virginia. Condition is absolutely wonderful, the finish is original and it is well made.
As is common with this style the headboard comes apart to facilitate moving. The footboard is one part of itself. The headboard consists of the two upright posts, the headboard slab, and the crosspiece under the slab. All this comes apart to be moved, very simple.
Made around 1850-60, all walnut other than the oval panels which are flame grain matched mahogany veneer--as it should be. The panels are well done.
This is truly a fine walnut victorian high back bed. Not your normal flavor here.
This will accept standard double size bedding. It is almost wide enough to accept queen width mattress but in order to use a queen mattress, longer rails would have to be made and adapted out one inch on each side.
Bed will be cleaned, touched up and waxed before delivery or shipping.
