This beautiful Victorian sewing cabinet is circa 1800s. It has a flame mahogany top, two drawers (with hand cut dovetails on all 4 corners), a turned pedestal and three legs. The top drawer has 8 compartments (one with a pin cushion), 5 of which have intricately inlayed covers. These compartments can be accessed by opening the drawer, or by lifting the hinged top of the cabinet. The cabinet has original hardware including locks complete with a key. The cabinet is approximately 18” wide, 15” deep and 28 ½ inches tall. The cabinet has two small (1/2” by 1/8”) bubbles in the veneer, one on the top and one on the back (see photos).
