This is a nice old pair of Kelly spurs with hand engraved silver overlays on the heel straps, shanks and outside buttons. These Texas style spurs were made by P.M. Kelly (1886-1976) and are marked “Kelly” by his patented swing spur strap button. The mark was used between 1939 and 1965. The spurs have 1” 9- point rowels. The spurs are approximately 5 ½” long and 3 ½” wide at the heel opening. Other than the apparent replacement of one inside strap button (see photo), these collectible spurs are in original condition with no damage other than abrasions due to normal use and age.
