This rare pair of antique ship’s navigational oil lanterns were made by the Meteorite Co. and are believed to be circa 1890s. The lanterns are copper and are approximately 22” tall and 14” wide. They include the original burners, reflectors and lenses. They have metal mfg. labels, along with “Port” and “Starboard” labels. The starboard lantern has a slight dent in the copper on the front along with three minor surface chips on the ribs of the clear exterior glass lens (see photos). Other than this minor damage, they have normal abrasions and beautiful patina consistent with age and normal use.
Note: Due to their size, each lantern will be boxed and shipped separately via FedEx Ground. Shipping cost is an estimate. Buyer will pay actual shipping costs to be determined at checkout.
