This is a beautiful large Petoskey stone. The Petoskey stone is a rock and a fossil. It is found in Lake Michigan in the north and the west. It is found on the beaches near Traverse City. If you are looking for them on the beach - good luck. They are hard to find but it is fun to try. This Petoskey stone is quite large. It is wrapped with a copper wire. It is strung on a multi ribbon necklace in brown. A very unusual statement piece.
