A rare pair of 1956 donkey figures by Hagen Renaker, designed by Maureen Love. Both retain the original factory stickers. Adelaide is 5-1/4" tall. At first glance she looks perfect but upon close inspection you can see a leg and her left ear have been repaired. Two other legs have also have less visible glue repairs. She stands perfectly. Her hat is not her original but is from the same time period. Harry the foal has some very light crazing throughout his body but is not that noticeable with the naked eye, he has one leg repair. When I bought them all I noticed was a single leg repair. Only until I took a look with a magnifying glass could I tell more. Even so, they stand and display very nicely just like they are.
Adelaide is ultra rare and hard to find with asking prices up to $300 for a perfect one. Harry is not as quite rare but still a nice old one. They are normally not sold together, but I am keeping them together. I've discounted them greatly for condition issues.
