A sweet 1926 Armand Marseille Dream Baby with Bye Lo body of the same era. It has a flanged bisque dome head with molded and painted hair,blue sleep eyes (the eyelids have spots of missing wax), accented nostrils, an open mouth with two lower teeth and nice rosy cheeks. The bisque is perfect, no hairlines or chips. The neck is incised A.M. Germany 351/3. It is approximately 13" long.
The Bye Lo Body is in the classic frog shape with a non working crier and celluloid hands with separated fingers. It has the typical age related oxidation and has some rust spots, other than that it is in very good condition with no foul odors. The celluloid hands are in excellent condition, no splits or missing digits.
The clothing includes a long christening dress from the 20's or 30's. It is trimmed in lace at the neck, sleeves and hem, with a decorative strip down the center with a small silk bow attached on the bottom, It has several holes (pictured).. The outer gown has numerous pin tucks on the bodice and back with a huge hem of eyelet lace and flower designs. The bonnet is quite lovely with multiple rows of lace and silk ties. Both the outer dress and bonnet are in excellent condition.
