Embossed Print of American Indian Brave Smoking Pipe by Herget - image 1 of 10

This is a small embossed print of an American Indian Brave. He is smoking a pipe. It is signed in the plate at the lower right by the American artist Herbert M. Herget (1885-1950). He was known for his Western Indian Genre paintings, many for calendar companies as well as National Geographic Magazine.

It is in a wood frame painted silver. It has glass, a dust cover, and a wire for hanging. On the back of the dust cover is written "Chief 3 Feathers Year 1908." The frame measures approximately 9 6/8" tall and 7 6/8" wide. The measurements for a print taken from the inside back are approximately 9" tall and 7" wide.
