This is an embossed vintage print manufactured by the Campbell Art Company of Elizabeth New Jersey. It represents a portrait of three children by the Czech artist Franz Lefler (1831-1898), done in black and white. Although untitled, it is called The Little Casanova. The artist was known for his portraits of children. This one shows a young boy in between two girls, evidently vying for his attention. At the lower right is "Patented 1896 Alfred S. Campbell, Elizabeth NJ." These embossed prints were called Art Relievo by the company.
It is in a blue and gold wood frame, with glass and a newer wire for hanging. On the back of the piece is a label "Art Relievo Photographs, Alfred S. Campbell Art Company, Elizabeth, NJ. Pat'd March 17, 1896. Other Pats Pending." The image itself is under an indented matting.
Size: The frame measures approximately 7 7/8 inches tall and 11 7/8 inches wide. The inside measurements, taken from the back, are approximately 7" by 11."
Condition: I note a few specks on the matting.
