This is a vintage photo print of a young mother reading to her daughter. I don't see a title or artist, but I have not examined this outside of the frame. In my own collection, I have this same image as a flue cover. It is titled "In Deep Study" and the publisher is shown as J.J. Austen and Company, Chicago with a copyright date of 1904.
I would like to thank Lois Emerson who runs the Beatrice Tonnesen website. She told me that this photo print was a Tonnesen photograph. For more information about the artist and her work, please visit her website which is shown under "Our Favorite Links" on our shop home page.
The print is under a green indented matting. The wood frame is gold with attached brass decorative corners. It has older glass with scratches, a cardboard backing with dust cover remnants, and a wire for hanging.
Size: The frame measures approximately 13 1/2 inches tall and 11 1/2 inches wide. The opening in the back measures approximately 12" by 10".
Condition: The frame shows scratches, nicks and scrapes primarily at the corners. The glass shows some scratches and it could probably use a cleaning on the inside of the glass.
