This is a vintage embossed print of an Arab warrior on a white horse. It is signed in the plate at the lower left with the name of the German artist Adolph Schreyer (1828-1899), well known for his works that included horses and Arabian men. The embossed print is on top of a beige mottled background.
It is in a wood frame of green and gold colors. It has an ornate gesso design near the sight edge. It has older glass, a cardboard backing and a newer wire for hanging. The wire was added as it had none when purchased.
Size: The frame measures approximately 16" tall and 14" wide. The opening in the back measures approximately 12" by 10". The size of the print itself, taken from the front, is 9" by 7".
Condition: I see no damage to the print, just a few small white spots near the edge. The frame shows scratches and missing paint, as well as some typical damage to the gesso layer.
A unique embossed print and one not seen often.
