Landseer Chromolithograph of Two Dogs Diogenes and Alexander - 2 of 2
This is one of two similarly framed chromolithographs by the English artist Sir Edwin Landseer (1802-1873). This one shows several dogs and is referred to as Alexander and Diogenes. The artist was well known for his art work portraying animals, especially dogs, horses, and stags.
It is in a black and gold wood frame. It has glass, a cardboard backing, with a wire for hanging.
Size: The frame measures 7 3/4" tall and 9 3/4" wide. The opening in the back measures approximately 6 1/2" by 8 1/2".
Condition: No damage noted, just a little wear on the frames.
