These signs are a wonderful form of the "Trade Sign". There are many variations that can be seen in the antique world. This one just has a great look even thought it is worn from hanging in the weather.
It is a metal sign, zinc i believe as it has some weight. The paint is faded but not gone. The sides where the iron mounting brackets were have holes where they must have worn off.
I love this look, worn from weather but not gone, this is the real deal. More than likely from the late 1800's to early 1900's. A wall mount bracket is included.
The watch is 19" in diameter and it is 25 1/4" tall overall and 5" thick.
Do you know why most of these signs are set at 8:20?
