This is a fun sign painted on particle board from a butcher, diner or market stand. The sign has great paint and chalk was used to add the prices. The shape is unique and was originally from the 1950's or 60's when particle board became popular, particle board was invented in the 1800's but used heavily after WWII when wood became more scarce due to housing boom. It was used quite a bit under Formica counter tops.
The board came from Pennsylvania and is 29" x 29" and 3/4" thick. Hangs easily from the hole in the center top.
