This is a wonderful copper weathervane manufactured by J. W. Fiske in the late 1800's. The Weather Vane is in excellent condition and displays nicely on the iron folk art stand. The weathervane is called the "English Banneret" and appears in the 1893 catalog, see copy of catalog page. This weather vane would have been manufactured sometime in the late 1800's.
The weathervane stands 32" tall on the stand and 24" long. The pointers and clovers on the vane are 3 dimensional or bulbous a wonderful feature. As stated the vane is in excellent condition with some minor professional repairs on the pointer seams.
