A ceremonial staff with axe head. These are used in some kind of ceremony at a fraternal lodge who use many symbols that have secret meanings. This axe head is tin painted to look like brass on portions. The long shaft is solid painted wood and is inserted in the sturdy wooden stand. The staff is 73 1/2" tall. Found in Pennsylvania dates to the early 1900's. Expected paint wear on the wood shaft and some dings and wear on the tin axe head but overall very good condition.
