A real nice fraternal ceremonial axe, it is from the Ancient Order of Foresters which dates back to 1874. The axe is from lodge 3508, but we cannot locate where this lodge was. The axe is hand painted and is 27" long x 12" wide and 1" thick.
This axe was used in some kind of ceremony by the lodge. It is not known what the ceremony was, that is a lodge secret. It dates from the late 1800's to early 1900's.
