I offer this old late 19th to early 20th century curling iron. This is of interest to both those who collect old hairdressing tools and also to oil lamp collectors who may have been lucky enough to find the old specialty chimney with a hole through it made specially to heat the tongs over the oil lamp flame. See example in Catherine Thuro's third volume Oil Lamps 3, page 233. I believe the curling portion is steel. I have not attempted to clean it up. The wooden handle is quite attractive. I don't know what type of wood it is, but definitely a hardwood. It is in good condition. Choose among the methods of transit I offer and check my shop for other items of interest.
