For your consideration, I offer a brass 1890s patent dated Edward Miller oil or kerosene wall bracket lamp with brass mounting ring and fancy wall mount bracket. It also has bottom cap which would enable the font to be used for different applications. When I moved, I must have packed the mounting ring and wall mount in another box. I also hand polished the lamp to lessen the bright brass color from the original cleaning and some of the picture I took before the polishing. The first two pictures of the font are more accurate color. This lamp is marked with patent dates in several places. On the top of the gallery that holds the chimney "Pat. June 13, 1893". On the snowflake oil fill cap:it is embossed "made in the United States of America". On the shoulder of the lamp the embossing reads: "The Miller Lamp Made in U.S.A". It also has several patent dates on the wick tube. and wick riser knob is also dated: The flame spreader also has the Edward Miller trade mark on the top.. The oil font still has an old wick inside and the mechanism to raise and lower it works O.K. The gallery on this center draft burner lifts up for ease in lighting the wick without moving the chimney. The burner connection is the bayonet style. It is in good shape for how old it is. I did note one very shallow crease and shallow dent. The cap on the bottom of the lamp has a very nice embossed pattern. The brass mounting ring has an opening of about 6 1/8 inches. It is slightly tapered inward and the bottom of the ring opening is 6 inches. The bracket with mounting bracket would be about 11 inches long. The arm that connects the ring to the wall mount bracket is hollow through the bracket and the ring. The fancy brass wall mount is very hard to find. . This is a pretty large font and would accept a chimney with a fitter size of 2 5/8 inches. It will be carefully wrapped for secure transit. Check my shop for other items of interest
