For your consideration, I offer a charming little child's night lamp from the late 19th, early 20th century. This is a while milk glass lamp which is held inside a spring hold brass saucer lamp. The body of this little lamp has embossing in the mold all around the center. There are three stars on each side and in between the stars it reads LITTLE DUTCHESS. The brass parts of the lamp were made by The P&A Mfg. Co. (Connecticut). The thumb wheel shows this manufacturing information as well as the name of the burner ACORN. The saucer is 4 1/4 inches in diameter and has a very pretty little embossed handle. The whole lamp with burner, old wick and chimney measures 6 1/2 inches tall. I noted one small spot of what I believe is dried oil just under the shoulder. I think this is because of a very small little open bubble made during the manufacturing process and oil dripping down over the years. I have not attempted to clean up the brass portions as many collectors like to show an antique item that really shows it's age. I have left the original old dried wick in there as well. Do not use this old one to use if you intend to light the lamp. It is just for display at this point and will not burn correctly. The chimney is probably a later replacement. Please check my shop for other items of interest and send a message with any questions.
