I offer a very heavy and very large press glass oil lamp font, circa 1870s-1880s. Most often this type of font either was set in a deep tapered cast iron decorative basket or on an open ring. It probably was used as a wall mount bracket lamp but could have been used in a multi arm cast iron hanging chandelier. The measurements are: 5 1/2 inches deep from top of brass collar to foot; 6 inches wide at the center font ring; That ring is smooth at the top with a little ledge on the underside where it would rest on the rim of the basket or open ring. From there it tapers inward. The vertical ribbed pattern is about 1 inch deep and the resting rim is approximately 2 inches o.d. The glass has good clarity and no chips or cracks. I will double box for safe transit. Please check both the shipping methods as one is must faster and includes insurance will the other is a ground method, often delayed. Please check other items in my shop and send an email if you have any questions. I combine items if possible to save on transit costs should you find other items there. In that case, please do not pay for them until I package together and send a revised one.
