For your consideration, I offer an old student oil lamp chimney. This chimney measures 10 1/2 inches tall and has a 1 7/8 o.d. fitter rim. This chimney will fit the following student lamps: Perfection no. 1; Perfection no. 2: student 14 line: student no 1. The Perfection student lamps are made by Manhattan Brass Co. and most are marked on the burner with Manhattan Brass. The lamp list was taken from the MacBeth chimney catalog.This is a size 50 chimney according to the catalog. This chimney has fire polished rims. It is not marked. These student lamps the chimney will fit date from the late 1870s.into the early 1880s. The glass is in good shape with no chips or cracks and has good clarity.
