This is a Plume & Atwood (P&A)center draft nickle plated over brass oil lamp which is complete and in original condition. I purchased it because of this and also because the plating is in very good condition for it's age. This lamp was made in the early 20th century, circa 1905 up until the 1930s. The lamp has it's original wick still inside. The model of this lamp is call MAGNET and thus marked on the shoulder. The original flame spreader is marked "Plume & Atwood Mfg. Co., Waterbury, Conn.". The lamp is 12 inches tall to the top of the flame spreader and about 18 inches tall with the chimney which I'm sure is a replacement some time ago. The chimney itself is 8 1/2 inches tall and has a 2 1/2 inch o.d. fitter rim. I have not attempted to clean the lamp. I did note that the old wick is in the tube and the wick raising mechanism is all there but because of the old wick has dried it will not raise or lower it. There is one small shallow round dent in the body of the lamp, shown in one of the pictures. In the stronger light of the picture it shows up more than in natural light. There are a lot of reflections in the pictures as the nickle plate is overall in good condition. Because the lamp well packed will weigh close to four pounds, I offer more than one method of transit. Choose the one that suits you best. Note that ground shipment is only available in certain zones. Priority may be cheaper.
