For your pleasure, I offer a large die cut Valentine card which has four layers on the front cover with tabs between each layer to pop them outward. These tabs are in such good condition that I did not want to force them. I believe the card is from the early twentieth century.I does not have any manufacturer name stamped on it. The foundation layer of the front is of large pink leaves. The next lay is Floral. The white oval layer is extremely glossy paper with a pretty gold color braided oval edging. The little girl with straw in her apron and a flower filled basket on her back is a tipped on die cut. The edges of all the die cuts are in very good condition and the colors are crisp. This card opens. The left inside page is blank. On the right is a green monotone illustration of a little home, dirt road, and a stream. The poignant verse reads: "I need not fear whate'er betide me, for straight and sweet my pathway lies. I want no stars in heaven to guide me. while I gaze in your dear eyes". I will package so it will not bend in transit.
