Ten Inch Painted 19th Century Oil Lamp Shade - image 1 of 7

For your consideration, I offer this circa late 1880s-1890s original hand painted ten inch shade for an Antique oil lamp. This shade has a charming monotone floral spray in tones of gray and a delicately painted accent of pale peach. The accents are on the bottom portion of the shade and in two places on the neck of the top rim. The measurements are nine and three-quarters fitter rim which is the size to fit in either a ten inch shade ring or tripod. The shade is six and three-quarters inches tall. The shade is factory rough ground on the top rim and smooth and fire polished on the bottom rim. There are no chips or cracks. This shade could be used on a table lamp, student lamp or in a ten inch hanging lamp. The last picture I have provided just shows what it would look like on a nickle plated lamp. In my opinion, a nickle plated lamp would really suit this pretty delicately painted shade. I double box items like this for secure transit. It may cost a little more, but for safety, it is essential. I offer two methods of transit. If you have any questions, send me an email and be sure to check my shop for other items of interest.
