The book is titled: "Trading Places": American and Canadian Manufacturers of Mechanical Kerosene Lamps in the Late 19th Century.
It was published in 2000 by The Historical Lighting Society of Canada. It is actually a thesis written by Valerie Lister, The book is a paperback and contains 65 pages printed on glossy sturdy paper. It measures eleven by eight inches. Although there are other types of lamps of the period shown, the feature is the biographical information on the founders of the Hitchcock and Wanzer Companies: Robert Hitchcock and Richard Mott Wanzer and their companies. There are also catalog ads and drawings shown. As far as I am aware, this is the only book that has covered these two companies in any depth. See the pictures for a general idea. This book is in very good shape.
