For your consideration I offer a lightly used hardcover book with dust jacket which is titled" The Handel Lamp Book" by Carole Goodman Hibel, John Hibel and John Fontaine. It was published copyright 1999 by Fontaine Publishers. This is a large heavy book with glossy pages chuck full of pictures of a great many of the wonderful lamps made by the Handel Lamp Company in Meriden Connecticut. The book contains 269 numbered pages with photographs in full color. There are also some pages with other items made by Handel such as late 19th century oil lamps and shades, vases and other types of dishware but most of the book concerns the electric lamps. Handel was in competition during the early part of the 20th century with other famous companies such as Tiffany, Pairpoint, Duffner & Kimberly and others. The beautiful hand painted scenes were some of the most popular lamps and still bring good prices in these modern times. They were true works of art. Since the book is large and heavy Media rate is the most reasonable for transit. Check my shop for other items of interest including other types of lighting books.
