Here we have a stunning composition 18" Effanbee Little Lady doll in box dressed all original.
Hard to find these composition dolls in such wonderful condition! Little Lady retains her original matte finish, just gorgeous. She has such a pretty face, with nicely blushed cheeks and a lighter red shade bow mouth. She has red dots at eye corners and nostrils. Her brows are feathered and she has all painted lower lashes. Her eyes open and close with ease. They are clear blue with "real" upper lashes.
Her hair is a dark brown human hair wig. Wig is still soft and shiny and retains original style. She also has her original pink hair ribbon.
Little lady has all her fingers. Fingers retain original dark pink color at tips. Hands are nicely blushed as are knees. Her skin tone, color is all even.
She wears her original ball gown, made from a flocked pink voile over a pink silk taffeta under skirt. The flocking is of large flowers over all, very 1940s! Stunning gown! Gown has short puffed sleeves. There is ruching at neckline and hem. It fastens in back with square type snaps. Her original panties are made from the same silk taffeta as underskirt. Panties fasten in back with a safety pin. She wears her original rayon sock and gold sandals. Sandals have low heels and snap fasteners.
Over her gown she wears her original and hard to find white marabou full length and long sleeve coat. Coat has I believe has a crepe lining and fastens in front with a crepe ties. Marabou is still fresh and nice and white.
She comes in an original Effanbee Little Lady box, which she has been stored in all of these years. Box label has the stamped number 8502. The eye color on the box states brown and the hair color on box states tosca so they do not match the doll. The gown color, pink does match. Box is sturdy and retains original ties to secure doll and some original tissue. There is about a 2" tear on one side of box and typical edge wear, and light soiling on outside. Inside is clean. Box is odor free.
Doll is odor free.
The gown hem at ruching has a tiny area of fraying, please see photo. The crepe ties on coat do have some stress but are still very sturdy.
Little Lady has never been undressed and I do not believe she has ever been displayed. There are some very, extremely light craze lines that you can see only when the light hits certain ways. You will not be disappointed with her, she is a stunning treasure.
Please email if you have any questions and as always thank you for looking.
