This hand carved hardwood gold fish is nicely carved. I particularly like the fish's protruding glass eyes. The fan tail is a work of art and is elaborately detailed. It amazes me that the fan tail is still in mint condition.
The surface patina is original. There appears to be the remnants of a signature on the bottom of the fish but it too worn to determine what the signature is.
The body of the fish is 1 ¼" high X 4" long X 1 ½" wide (at the body). The fan tail is 2" wide. The condition is very good. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines. Circa is 1920's.
