This hand painted porcelain portrait of a lady is beautifully executed. Using my jeweler’s loop, I can see the brush strokes of all the details of not only the face but her jewelry and hair.
She is housed in her original frame which is cut and tooled brass with turquoise and red stone inserts. The frame reminds me of a standing easel. I can certainly see this displayed on a nightstand by one’s bed or on a stand next to a favorite reading chair! This portrait and frame are unique to say the least!
The frame is 2 ½” high X 2 /4” wide. The condition is very good, circa 1880-1900.
