The cobalt stork Majolica jardinière is handsome to look at. It’s attributed to Forester and has four (4) panels depicting a stock in each bamboo panel. Two of the panels show a stock fishing while the other two panels depict the stock feasting on its catch. I think the jardinière is an eye catcher without a plant in it but I’m sure it would also be a pleaser with a plant. This jardinière has a footed base.
This piece is attributed to Forester, late 1800’s. It is 8 ½” high X 8” wide. The overall condition of the jardinière is very good with one old chip on the edge of one of the feet and one small nick on the face of a second foot.
