This pattern glass water pitcher is quite rare. The piece is footed, which was very difficult to produce. It was tedious and fragile to remove the feet from the mold. Most pieces thereafter were made with collared bases as opposed to one continuous piece.
The pattern is called “Classic” which represents two (2) different frosted panels depicting a full figure of a nude lady with a fabric drape over one arm. The overall pitcher is clear daisy and button pattern with frosted vine feet. The handle is also frosted and patterned to resemble tree bark. The spout has a large leaf design. A touch of class to say the least!
The pitcher is 10” high X 8 ½” (from outer handle to outer spout), circa 1870’s.
The condition is very good. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines.
